This Privacy Policy explains how Dwight Davis Consulting LLC ("Dwight Davis," "I," "me," "my") handles information about visitors to dwightdavis.com (the "Site"). The Site describes paid search and SEO services and provides a way to get in touch. It runs Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking, both loaded through Google Tag Manager and both governed by your cookie choices. It does not run chat software.

By using the Site, you acknowledge you have read this Policy.

Information collected

Information you provide directly

  • If you email the address on this Site, your email address and the content of your message.
  • If you connect on LinkedIn, information you share on that platform is governed by LinkedIn's own policies.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard web server logs, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time of visit. These are used to keep the Site running, secure, and available. Logs are retained for up to 90 days.
  • If you allow analytics cookies: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location from IP, device and browser, and a randomly generated identifier, collected by Google Analytics 4.
  • If you allow advertising cookies: whether you completed a contact form, booked a meeting, or clicked the phone or email links, collected by Google Ads conversion tracking, and membership of remarketing audiences.

How information is used

  • To respond to emails you send.
  • To operate, maintain, and secure the Site.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

  • Service providers. Vendors that host or serve the Site (listed below).
  • Legal and safety. When required by law or to enforce my rights.

Personal information is not sold. Advertising measurement and remarketing do run, through Google Ads, and only when you allow advertising cookies. Under California law that counts as sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. See Do Not Sell or Share.

Third-party services

  • Google Cloud Platform (Google LLC). Hosting via Cloud Run.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. DNS resolution.
  • Google Fonts (Google LLC). Web typography. Google Fonts may log the IP address of visitors as part of serving font files.
  • Google Tag Manager (Google LLC). Loads the two services below and applies your consent choices to them.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC). Usage measurement. Runs only with your consent.
  • Google Ads (Google LLC). Conversion measurement and remarketing. Runs only with your consent.

Cookies

This Site sets first-party cookies for analytics and advertising measurement, but only after you allow them. Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking both run through Google Tag Manager, and Consent Mode holds them in a denied state until you choose. A single necessary cookie records that choice so you are not asked repeatedly. See the Cookie Policy for details.

Data security

Traffic to and from the Site is encrypted with TLS. No system is perfectly secure.

Your rights

  • Right to know or access personal information held about you.
  • Right to correct inaccurate information.
  • Right to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to opt out of any sale or sharing, via the Do Not Sell or Share page.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with your applicable data protection authority.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), you have the rights above. In the last 12 months I have collected identifiers (email address and phone number if you sent them, and advertising identifiers if you allowed advertising cookies) and internet activity (server logs, and analytics data if you allowed analytics cookies). I do not collect biometric information, precise geolocation, government identifiers, or protected classification characteristics. I do not sell personal information. I do share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising when you allow advertising cookies, and you can opt out at any time.

Notice to other U.S. state residents

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights. Use the same email address for requests.

Notice to EEA and UK residents

You have the rights described above under GDPR and equivalent UK law. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16 and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated from time to time. When that happens, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change.
